Late Heroics Lift Vaqueros Past Saddleback College, 2–1

The Vaqueros walked it off in dramatic fashion Saturday, scoring twice in the bottom of the ninth to secure a 2–1 victory over Saddleback and improve to 10-3 on the season.

Trailing 1–0 entering the final frame, Glendale delivered when it mattered most. Mike Bang came through with the biggest swing of the day, ripping a clutch two-RBI double to bring home David Lozano and Jordan Lewallen for the game-winning runs. Bang finished 3-for-4 with two doubles and both RBIs, leading the Vaqueros' six-hit effort. Jackson Lyons added a double, while Lozano scored one of the decisive ninth-inning runs.

On the mound, Glendale's pitching staff kept the game within reach. Michael Guerrero tossed three scoreless innings to start, and Diego Barajas worked four solid frames, allowing just one run. Jimmy Cafferty delivered a clean eighth, setting the stage for Cris Banuelos, who earned the win with a scoreless ninth.

In a tight pitcher's duel throughout, the Vaqueros stayed patient and capitalized late, sealing a gritty comeback victory at home.
