Big Day from Contreras Fuels Glendale Win Over LA Mission

Glendale broke things wide open with a massive offensive outburst, defeating LA Mission 17–5 behind a dominant sixth inning.

After trailing early, the Vaqueros quickly flipped the game with one of their most explosive innings of the season. Adrian Contreras delivered the biggest performance of the day, going 2-for-3 with two home runs and an incredible eight RBIs, completely changing the game with a pair of grand slams in the sixth inning.

At the top of the order, Jackson Lyons set the tone with a 3-for-5 performance, scoring three runs and driving in another while consistently getting on base ahead of the rally. David Lozano added to the offensive surge, finishing 2-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI, including a key hit that helped ignite the sixth-inning explosion.

Noah Jaquez contributed with a double and two RBIs, while also swiping a base and scoring a run. Jackson Pratt played a key role as well, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored, an RBI, and two stolen bases, creating pressure on the basepaths throughout the game.

In the middle of the lineup, Charlie Carafotes chipped in with an RBI, while James Harrington added a home run and finished with two hits and an RBI. Jake Price provided a spark off the bench, scoring twice and adding a hit during the big inning.

On the mound, John Trainor earned the win, working three innings while allowing three runs. The bullpen took over from there, highlighted by Carson Maymo, who tossed three shutout innings to stabilize the game. Jorge Martinez and Conner Cafferty combined to close things out and keep LA Mission from mounting any comeback.
