The GCC Men's Soccer Team can look forward to a week off to get healthier and regroup after dropping a pair of games to Cerritos College, 6-0 on Oct. 1 and to Moorpark College 2-1 on Oct. 4 and are now 2-6-2.
After getting shutout against Cerritos, Kevin Anjunyan gave Glendale an early lead in the Moorpark game by scoring at the 10:23 mark of the first half for a 1-0 lead on an assist by Grant Hovnassiyan. Goalie Hayk Tovmasyan had 9 saves in the loss to Moorpark as well as nine saves in the Cerritos loss and Aryn Navasartian had five stops and Nicolas Hedges had two saves in that game.
GCC starts WSC play Tuesday October 15 with a home game at 6:30 pm and at home against College of the Canyons Friday Oct. 18 at 2 pm.
