The Glendale Vaqueros put together a strong all-around performance to earn a convincing 63–31 win over Allan Hancock on December 19 at Glendale College. GCC jumped out early and never looked back, controlling the game on both ends of the floor across all four quarters.
Sammy Velasquez led the way for the Vaqueros with an efficient 16 points, shooting 6-for-7 from the field and knocking down three triples while also dishing out four assists. Shadel Ffrench delivered a standout effort in the paint, finishing with 11 points, 11 rebounds, three steals, and three blocks to anchor Glendale's defense. Kaitlin Johnson added 12 points, seven rebounds, and four steals, showcasing her two-way impact.
Glendale also got a big boost from its bench, as Ella Costley went a perfect 3-for-3 from the field and beyond the arc for nine points, while adding three assists. As a team, the Vaqueros shot over 40 percent from three-point range and won the rebounding battle, using defensive pressure and balanced scoring to secure the dominant home victory.
