The Glendale College men's basketball team battled through a tight first half but couldn't keep pace after the break, falling to West LA 85–65 on Saturday afternoon at Glendale College.
The Vaqueros edged ahead 33–32 at halftime, playing strong early defense and moving the ball well on offense. However, West LA caught fire in the second half, scoring 53 points on over 50 percent shooting to pull away.
Omree Bentov led Glendale with a team-high 17 points and seven rebounds, shooting efficiently from the field and beyond the arc. Brandon Blair contributed a steady all-around performance with 12 points and five assists, while Cayden Hennessy added eight points and five rebounds. Armen Darakchyan provided a spark inside, finishing with nine points and four rebounds in limited minutes.
Off the bench, Myles Wainwright chipped in nine points, giving Glendale added energy during the second half. The Vaqueros held their own on the glass, outrebounding West LA 36–35, but struggled to match the visitors' perimeter shooting after halftime.
Despite the setback, Glendale showed flashes of balance and toughness against a deep West LA squad. The Vaqueros will look to regroup and build on their strong first-half performance as they continue conference play.
