Bentov’s 24 Points Lead Vaqueros in Hard-Fought Road Battle at Canyons

The Glendale College men's basketball team delivered one of its most efficient offensive performances of the season but came up just short in a competitive 91–83 loss to Canyons on Wednesday night.

Glendale stayed within striking distance throughout, trailing 46–37 at halftime before nearly matching Canyons point-for-point in the second half. The Vaqueros shot an impressive 51.8% from the field and 42.9% from three, keeping pressure on the Cougars until the final minutes.

Omree Bentov turned in a standout night, leading all scorers with 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting, while also adding four rebounds. Brandon Blair orchestrated the offense with 14 points, eight assists, and six rebounds, consistently creating scoring opportunities. Jacob Allen provided a strong spark off the bench, pouring in 15 points, and Armen Darakchyan was efficient inside with 10 points and six rebounds.

Myles Wainwright chipped in 10 points and five rebounds, while Glendale's balanced attack featured six players scoring in double figures. Despite matching Canyons on the glass with 35 rebounds, the Vaqueros were hurt by free-throw struggles and late fouls as the Cougars converted key trips to the line.

Glendale falls to 7–16 overall and 2–7 in conference, but the performance showed resilience and offensive balance as the Vaqueros continue their push through conference play.
