Vaqueros Battle but Fall 2–0 to Los Angeles City

The Glendale College women's soccer team played with determination on September 23 at Sartoris Field but came up short in a 2–0 loss to Los Angeles City. With the result, Glendale moved to 0-3-3 on the season.

Goalkeeper Liliana Reynoso had a standout performance in net, making 10 saves on 12 shots faced. She kept the Vaqueros in the match with several key stops, especially in the second half as L.A. City pressed forward.

On the attack, Glendale created chances with 8 total shots, including 5 on targetLillian Yousefian led the offense with 2 shots on goal, while Ainsley SpehensonNayely Moreno, and Angie Garcia each forced the L.A. keeper to make saves. Midfielder Natalie Ramirez and defender Zitlaly Hernando also contributed with efforts from distance.

The Vaqueros showed strong discipline throughout the match, committing only one foul and staying organized defensively. Glendale also earned 2 corner kicks, giving them set-piece opportunities to close the scoring gap.

Despite the loss, Glendale showed progress with improved ball movement and defensive communication. The Vaqueros will look to build on this performance as they continue their season.
