Vaqueros Struggle in Home Match Against Santa Monica

The Glendale College Vaqueros fell 6–0 to visiting Santa Monica on Tuesday, struggling to generate offensive opportunities against a strong Corsair defense.

Despite the score, goalkeeper Liliana Reynoso made 18 saves, keeping Glendale in the match and showing solid effort in goal. The Vaqueros managed just one shot on goal for the game, highlighting the challenges they faced breaking through Santa Monica's defensive structure.

On the offensive side, Katherine Avizuris Aguirre contributed Glendale's lone shot on target, while the team worked to maintain possession and create chances. Glendale's defense battled hard but ultimately allowed six goals, as Santa Monica's attack, led by Lyric Gomez-Muniz and Yaretzi Hernandez, proved too strong.

Though the Vaqueros were unable to find the back of the net, the game offered experience and opportunities for players like Reynoso, Aguirre, and the back line to sharpen their skills as they continue the season.
